SolarEdge is the most advanced PV optimisation system on the market. Here's why it makes a real difference in your installation, module by module.

Real-time control of your home's production and consumption, from your phone.
See how much energy your panels generate at any moment, how much your home consumes, how much is stored in the battery and how much goes to the grid. With historical data, smart notifications and smart-home device management.

SolarEdge ONE automatically optimises when to consume, store or export energy based on your tariff, the weather and your habits — maximising savings without you lifting a finger.
Discover SolarEdge ONE →A conventional inverter works with the string's average voltage. Any variation between modules — dirt, different temperatures, factory tolerances — creates constant losses you never recover.
With SolarEdge, each module has its own maximum power point (MPPT), optimising its output completely independently. The result is a system that always runs close to its theoretical maximum power.
SolarEdge holds the patent on the Buck-Boost optimiser. This is fundamental: the optimiser can increase or decrease each module's voltage independently to keep the inverter always at its optimal operating point.
Competitors copying the “optimiser” concept can only reduce voltage (Buck). The Boost function falls to the inverter — which has already lost part of the energy — at below 98% efficiency. With SolarEdge, management happens module by module before reaching the inverter, which always receives a constant voltage and works at its maximum efficiency point: 99%.
In a conventional PV system, as long as the sun shines the DC cables carry up to 1,000V. That is a real risk for installers, maintenance technicians and firefighters in an emergency.
With SolarEdge SafeDC™, when the AC grid is disconnected — manually or automatically — each optimiser reduces its module's voltage to 1V. The roof is immediately safe.
The SolarEdge monitoring portal shows the individual production of every module in your installation. It's not one global figure: it's a panel-by-panel performance map, updated in real time.
Precise diagnosis
If a panel produces less than expected — dirt, shade or a fault — it is identified immediately and exactly, with no site visit.
Remote resolution
Most issues are diagnosed and solved remotely, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
Access from anywhere
Web portal and mySolarEdge app. You and your installer have full visibility at all times, from any device.
History and alerts
The system logs each module's historical performance and raises automatic alerts on any production anomaly.
In Mallorca, rooftops can exceed 60°C in summer. Conventional inverters start derating from 45°C. SolarEdge holds full power up to 50°C.
The technical reason is the constant voltage: with no wide voltage range to manage, the SolarEdge inverter runs under less thermal stress, lasts longer and keeps its efficiency through the middle of the day — exactly when irradiation peaks.
SolarEdge offers up to 25 years' warranty on inverters and 25 years on optimisers. No other leading manufacturer comes close.
Inverters: 12 years standard, extendable to 25 years
Power optimisers: 25-year warranty
Local technical support in Iberia, present in 14 countries
Inverters: 5–10 years standard, extendable to max. 20 years
No optimisers → no additional distributed-component warranty
Centralised support, usually outside the country
A PV installation has a 25–30 year lifespan. The inverter warranty determines how long the manufacturer stands behind you. With SolarEdge, you are covered for the entire life of the system.
Real roofs are not flat, uniform or single-orientation. With a conventional inverter, the modules in a string must share the same orientation and tilt to work efficiently.
SolarEdge allows strings of different lengths on the same inverter, modules with different orientations and tilts in the same string, and modules of different makes or power ratings.
✓ One single inverter — maximum production on both orientations
The SolarEdge monitoring platform uses AI algorithms that analyse each module's behaviour, detect anomalies before they become faults, and predict expected output based on weather, seasonality and your own installation's history. The result: 80% of issues are diagnosed and solved remotely, without a technician on your roof.
